Here We Go Again: Another Installment of “___ is No Place for a Backpack Tent and Light Gear”

This time from an apparently hostile place:

"Kodiak in November and December is no place for a backpack tent and
light gear. I pack a wall tent, stove, survival gear and enough food to
last a week, in case the weather socks us in."

(From Alaska Magazine which I think is popular in airports).

They should go hang in Duluth, where samh has tried backpack tents and light gear.

Bonus: Another one from Ontario, but be forewarned that this article falls into the "unimportant and non-urgent" Covey quadrant.
