Ridgewalking, Part 1

Those of you that know me, and especially those of you that have hiked with me, know that I am addicted to the practice of walking ridges.

Being higher than everything else has its rewards (views, solitude, lack of trails) and disadvantages (wind, rain, lack of trails) but the bottom line is that ridges (and rivers) are the places where I get most recharged while in the wilds.
