Wind River Range Packrafting

Joel Walthall (Backpacking Light’s Sales Manager) and I snuck into the Wind River Range a few days ago to shoot Boulder Canyon in packrafts.

Snow, shelf ice, cold water, moose turd fuel, all the good ingredients of a spring packrafting trek in the mountains of Wyoming.

I love the photos! It makes me want a packraft even more.
These pictures should be on BPL ULA Arctic Dry Pack page.

    Hi Ryan,
great trip on Boulder Creek. Where did you put in? Please send me an email. I’d like to compare notes about various floats around the GYE.

Great photos, looks like a blast. NO PFD???

    Ryan,
Just a cautionary note. I don’t see you wearing a PFD in these pictures. In 42 degrees of water? Having almost drowned in less than a foot of water numerous times while whitewater kayaking, a PFD is worth the weight penalty.
    Take care out there,
    Philip
